Super Thin Diamond Blades for Tile, Marble & Granite

Most DI Tool super thin blades, such as the J-Slot Premium Diamond Blade, support both wet and dry cutting, making them versatile for job site conditions. However, the All-Surface Supreme Premium Diamond Blade is designed for wet use only and requires water cooling. Always check the specific blade's guidelines before use.

For tile cutting, diameters between 4" and 10" are most common. The J-Slot Premium Diamond Blade is available in 4", 4.5", 5", 7", 8", and 10" sizes, accommodating angle grinders, circular saws, and table saws. Choose based on your equipment's arbor size and the depth of cut required for your tile thickness.

Continuous rim blades provide the smoothest, cleanest cuts with minimal chipping — ideal for delicate tile, marble, and polished granite. Turbo segment blades cut faster and handle harder or thicker materials more aggressively. For precision tile work, a continuous rim or J-slot blade is recommended, while turbo designs suit harder stone and faster production cutting.

J-slots positioned around the blade rim serve two critical functions: they dissipate heat generated during cutting, which prevents blade warping and segment loss, and they channel debris away from the cut path. This results in a longer blade life, more consistent cutting speed, and reduced chipping on sensitive materials like porcelain and marble.

Replace a diamond blade when you notice a significant drop in cutting speed, increased vibration, visible segment wear or loss, glazing of the diamond surface, or cracks in the core. Running a worn blade is a safety hazard. Blades with 10mm segment heights, like the All-Surface Supreme, provide extended life before replacement is needed.
